Leo loved dreams. He dreamed of soaring on marshmallow clouds and sliding down rainbow waterfalls. But every morning, his beautiful dreams would pop like bubbles, and that made him sad.

Tonight, as a tear rolled down his cheek, a gentle light shimmered by his window. A creature floated in, as soft as spun moonlight and sparkling with stardust. It had kind, glowing eyes and a long, swishy tail.

"I am the Dreamkeeper," the creature whispered in a voice like tiny bells. "Why are you so sad, little one?" Leo looked up. "My dreams always disappear," he said. "I want to keep them."

The Dreamkeeper nodded. "Dreams are shy," it said. "They visit for a little while and then fly away with the morning sun. But I can help you."

The Dreamkeeper twirled in the air. With its soft paws, it began to gather the silvery moonbeams that streamed into the room. The light twisted and danced like shiny ribbons.

Then, it reached its long tail out the window and gently caught a few sleepy, twinkling stars. The stars giggled and pulsed with light as the Dreamkeeper held them.

The Dreamkeeper began to weave the moonbeams and starlight together, humming a quiet, magical song. In its paws, a small, perfect star began to form, glowing with a warm and steady light.

"This is a special dream," the Dreamkeeper said, floating over to Leo. "This one is for you to keep." It held out the glowing star, which pulsed with a soft, happy rhythm.

Very gently, the Dreamkeeper touched the star to Leo's chest. It didn't tickle. It felt warm and safe, like a hug. The star sank into his heart, leaving a tiny, cozy glow right in the center of his pajamas.

"Now, that dream will always be with you," the Dreamkeeper whispered. Leo snuggled into his bed, feeling the little star glowing warmly inside him. He closed his eyes with a smile, ready for a dream he could keep forever.
